Archive for the month "January, 2012"

Come take my version of a tour of Harvard Square :) Today was supposed to be rainy and overall unpleasant day weather-wise, but to my surprise it turned out absolutely beautiful – sunny and a wonderful 7 degrees (sorry Americans, but I still talk in celsius). After class, I hopped across the river (well, rode the T…) and took a nice stroll around Harvard Square.

I’m still trying to figure out the link between moustaches and matches…

Oh I think I have found my dream home, or at the very least my dream front door! I love the Parisian door plaque even more. I don’t usually walk down Pembroke street but I’m glad I did today, and I’m even more glad that I’m crazy enough to drag around my nearly 3-pound camera when my main goal is to do groceries…

I’m feeling just a tad hungry and nothing in my fridge is inspiring… so I am resorting to looking at pictures of yummy foods instead. I’d advise to not look at this post if you are craving a snack, because it might make you run for the fridge. Don’t say I didn’t warn you ;)

Boston finally looked like winter over the weekend, but today’s it’s all melting. Sun and even warmer temperatures for the rest of the week – is that really all you’ve got Boston? still recuperating from last year maybe?

A day at the Boston MFA – The new Linde Family Wing for Contemporary Art. Interesting installation of “flying” men but all I could think when I saw them is that they oddly remind me of the falling man photographs from 9/11 …

Took these a few weeks back. Had good intentions and took my camera out today but the cold weather seemed to sap all the inspiration from me… also had to throw out my Christmas tree today, which made me sad…

Voici quelques “musts” de Montréal. Bon, y’en a pleins d’autres mais disons que j’ai quand même un budget limité | If you’re in Montreal, go to these places. You won’t regret it. When it comes to restaurants, Montreal > Boston. And now I promise you won’t hear the word “Montreal” from me for a while… or at least I’ll try ;)

Back in Boston for a while now – already missing the 514 … aka Montreal for those who (understandably) aren’t aware of the city’s area code. Here are some posts of my glorious city in the glorious dead of winter… we love her anyway :)
